This work, which is released as the 5th “Tealightsound” series proposed by Kyoto’s long-established tea wholesaler, Ujikoen, is a simple sound image that is a mix of the natural sounds recorded at the Kyoto tea garden and CARRE’s electronic sounds. Though simple at its approach, it brings forth a highly saturated hue that was yet unseen in CARRE’s past works. The jacket photo by photographer Yuhki Touyama takes you to the entrance of this strange tea garden; step in and enjoy the gorgeous and at times mad sound scape that spreads within.
